Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing and agriculture sector
The ideal candidate will have a strong bookkeeping background and a good working appreciation of Xero Accounting Software or Accounting Software
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and supporting the company’s overall financial management processes
What You Will Do
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles
Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and data entry
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing
Prepare and maintain financial reports, cash flow statements, and monthly management accounts
Monitor inventory costs and assist with costing and financial tracking related to manufacturing and agricultural operations
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Conduct bank and account reconciliations regularly
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax filings, VAT, PAYE, etc
)
Utilize Xero Accounting Software for data input, reporting, and financial analysis
Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and internal departments as required
Support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the finance function
Required Skills
Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively

Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams
