Job Description
The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely with the Management Accountant to provide timely, accurate and insightful financial information to support sound business decisions, cost control and performance improvement across the Business Unit
The role ensures financial governance, cost discipline and business profitability
What You Will Do
Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, highlighting key cost drivers, variances, and profitability insights
Develop and update product costing models in SAP to ensure accurate reflection of raw materials, conversion, and overhead costs
Coordinate and supervise inventory accounting, ensuring accurate stock valuation, reconciliations, and reporting
Participate in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning for the Business Unit
Maintain the price book, ensuring pricing models and product margins are accurate and aligned with company policy
Prepare throughput and yield reconciliations and investigate production variances
Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with SOPs and internal control frameworks
Provide proactive financial insights to the Unit Manager to drive operational efficiency and margin improvement
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
