Qualifications Recently qualified Chartered Accountant is desirable. Keen to learn and grow in a high paced organisation. Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean Law. Age (minimum / maximum): 30;+. IT knowledge: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (excel; word). Others: English – full command of the English language, both written and spoken. Strong experience in taxation issues. Good experience in dealing with Government officials. Good local contacts. Time availability.

Job Description

The scope includes a wide range of responsibilities related to assisting in managing the company's financial operations including but not limited to tax and legal compliance

Deputizing the Finance Manager, the resource will be asked to step up into a Finance Manager role to assist in Financial reporting and Management Accounting

What You Will Do

Reviewing, analyzing and classification of documents
Monitor proper application and administration of Company Internal Controls, systems and procedures
Bank reconciliations
Ensure that all cashbooks are balanced
Bank treasury liaison
Review of reconciliations of Accounts Receivable /Accounts Payables, General Ledger and Control accounts
Review of payments for local suppliers, staff loans and supplier payments
Reviewing payments for all import of supplies
Processing and controlling of final import documents
Timely lodging of import documentation with the bank
Reconciling all intercompany trading accounts as any other normal Customer or Supplier account
Keep an updated fixed asset register
mSubmission of monthly VAT returns and statutory payments
Preparation of weekly/periodic budgets for the company
Preparation of monthly/annual Financial Statements
Conducting monthly regular spot cash counts of all cash and cash equivalences
Supervise, support and develop accounts team
Liaison with Government officials and agencies (Customs, Migration, etc)
Preparation of company registration documents
Authorize and process all payments when required
Ensure compliance with HSES policy and procedure
Records management
Maintain an updated income and expenditure account in FMS
Contribute for the continuous development of FMS accounts modules to benefit and reduce wasted time
Ensure FMS is used to its full functionality which allows for full control of company finances at all times and risk mitigate
