Job Description

The Group Accountant is a key member of the finance team, overseeing accounting for the exploration arm of the business while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting across the group

This role encompasses responsibility for group financial and management reporting and serves as the team lead for treasury within the organization

As an integral part of achieving the financial mandate of the business, the Group Accountant must maintain a comprehensive understanding of all projects and operations within the company, working closely with various departments to align financial goals with strategic initiatives

What You Will Do

Financial Reporting & Management: Oversee the preparation and delivery of group financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

Lead group management reporting processes, providing clear and insightful financial analysis to stakeholders

Ensure the timely and accurate consolidation of financial data from various business arms, including the exploration division

Treasury Leadership: Act as the team lead for treasury functions, including cash flow management, financing, and risk management

Monitor and manage financial liquidity to support the operational and strategic needs of the group

Oversee banking relationships and manage day-to-day treasury operations

Project & Operations Oversight: Stay informed on all ongoing projects and operational activities across the business, ensuring that financial processes align with project milestones and strategic objectives

Provide financial guidance and support to project teams to ensure effective cost management and profitability

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and treasury management

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to foster collaboration across departments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
